Experiment with stippled dots to add shading and create dimension.
How to:

Sketch out your letters using a pencil.

Add guidelines to mark off the area you’d like to appear highlighted.

Add stippling, making the dots heaviest the furthest from the guidelines. As you approach the guidelines, space the dots further apart. Don’t add dots within the guidelines.

Erase your pencil marks.
