I cut this from black copy weight paper, rather than cardstock.

I sketched the image on white paper, then used double-sided tape to adhere it to the back of the black paper.

I then cut from the back.

Slip of the blade? Fix tiny mistakes with a Quickie Glue pen, working from the back side of the piece.
