I’ve had a lot of people ask about my custom Made By Marzipan tags that I sew into my handmade items. I originally did a lot of research, searching for a DIY method that looked professional and would hold up to multiple washings.
But I didn’t find one. Iron-on decals peel over time. Even if you create your own label design at Spoonflower, it will be printed on a fabric like cotton, and then you’d have to finish the raw edges of every tag.
Then I found the Ikaprint Etsy shop. They sell custom-made tags printed on satin, and they offer a variety of colors. Mine are printed on white satin, like ribbon.
These labels are professionally made, and they hold up in the wash like any other clothing tag. It only cost about $20 for 90. I bought them a couple years ago and I still haven’t run out!
Ikaprint isn’t sponsoring this post, I just love my tags and thought I’d share info about where I got them. If you have any other ideas for creating your own clothing tags, please tell us in the comments!
