A song lyric is a perfect choice for a hand-lettered project.
Tips:
This quote comes from one of my all-time favorite bands, Counting Crows. Yeah, I’m old-school like that. The next time you have a song stuck in your head, turn it into a hand-lettered project!
How to:
1
I begin all my hand lettering projects by sketching with a Sumo Grip mechanical pencil.
2
Trace your hand lettering with a Micron pen.
3
Erase your pencil marks with a large eraser.
4
I colored this particular project in Photoshop. Scan in grayscale at a high resolution, then add a new layer for each color. (Hint: set each layer mode to “multiply.”)
