Brush pens allow you to create hand lettered pieces very quickly. I like Koi brush pens, made by Sakura.

You can hold the pen sideways to thicken the stroke.

Start with heavy pressure, then lighten it as you near the end of your stroke to make the line look as though it were created with a paintbrush.

Try writing the words with a light color, then adding them again in another color, slightly offset from the first. This creates a cool shadow effect.
