Chocolate covered strawberries are one of the easiest treats you can make with your kids, and they look so fancy when you’re finished!
How to:
made with
strawberries
egg carton (Optional)
cardboard box (Optional)
plastic bags
1
Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. If water gets into the chocolate, it will clump, so make sure they’re dry.
2
Have your kids poke a stick through the stem of each strawberry.
3
Use a skewer to jab holes in the top of the egg carton or cardboard box. Space these at least 1.5 inches apart. These holes will hold the strawberries upright while the chocolate hardens.
4
Melt the chocolate wafers according to package directions. I melt mine in the microwave.
5
Let your kids dip the strawberries into the chocolate. A swirling motion helps to coat evenly.
6
Poke the stick into the hole in the cardboard box. Allow the chocolate to set. Once the chocolate is firm, you can put that batch of strawberries in a vase in the fridge while you make more.
7
Add a small plastic bag to the top of each strawberry. Bundle several strawberries together into a bouquet and tie with curling ribbon.
8
Stamp a piece of cardstock to make a tag if desired. Punch a hole with a standard hole punch and tie to the ribbon. Curl the ends of the ribbon.
