Tape the box shut.

Tell your little pal that you need them to build something for you. I told mine that he could make a dog kennel for his stuffed puppy, and he needed to add lots of air holes.

Let him use a lightweight hammer to tap the golf tee into the box, creating holes. The wide head of the golf tee is easy to hit. This kept him busy for a long time!
