Free Holiday Gift Tags

Enjoy this free sheet of holiday gift tags! Try embellishing them with Sakura’s Gelly Roll Stardust pens (like glitter in a pen) or their clear Glaze pen (like embossing powder in a pen).

How to:

1
Click here to print the free holiday gift tags. I recommend printing them on white cardstock. Cut them out and punch the hole with a standard hole punch.

2
Now comes the fun part: adding shimmer with Sakura’s Gelly Roll® Stardust® pens. It’s like glitter in a pen. I like to outline the shape first, and then fill it in with color. I love these pens because they offer precision you just can’t get with glitter and glue. You can even trace text.

3
Another great pen I found is Sakura’s clear Glaze® pen. At first I thought, why would anyone buy a clear pen? But once you’ve tried it, you’ll get it. It creates a glossy, shiny finish that makes the image appear lacquered or embossed.

When you draw with this pen, the ink appears a little milky at first, but it dries perfectly clear. I’m using it to outline my snowman, and to fill in the ornament and mug. You can also use it to outline text.

Snowflake Card

If you’re a paper crafter who likes to make cards from scratch, you’ll love how the clear Glaze® pen can take the place of embossing powder and a heat gun.

1
Stamp your image in any color and allow to dry completely. I chose to do a simple snowflake design for this card. I punched a few snowflakes as well, and added a contrasting cardstock to the interior of the card.

2
Trace the stamped images with the clear Glaze® pen. You can see how it adds a little dimension and a lot of shine.

3
A few rhinestones and a bit of ribbon, and this card is finished.

4
Another tip: you can also use the clear Glaze® pen on invitations, announcements, or business cards for the embossed look without the big price tag that a printing company charges.
