How to:

I usually rely heavily on my clear ruler when hand lettering. It helps me maintain consistency and proper perspective. But since this quote is all about trying and messing up, I decided it would be more fitting to sketch it freehand.

I started by sketching my design with a Sumo Grip mechanical pencil, then traced it using 02 and 05 Micron pens.

I used Koi Coloring Brush markers to add some color to the finished work.
